In this section, we’ll be applying the principles and techniques learned in Section 1 of the book to teaching three foundational behaviors: sitting with eye contact, the down/stay, and heeling. Theses skills are foundational to training competitive obedience and Rally obedience as well as training a well behaved pet. The behaviors covered in this section will be broken down into smaller skills and then the skills will be further broken down into step by step instructions to make training clear for both the dog and the trainer.
